The Village of St. Georgen

Our farm is located in the village of St. Georgen and is situated at around 830  metres above sea level on the sunny side of the Pustertal Valley. At the entrance to the Tauferer Ahrntal, it is one of the oldest settlements of the valley. The 2000 inhabitants look after their village and lead a lively club life. There are several buildings worth seeing in the village, including the late Gothic parish church of St. Georg, which was built around 1470. The St Mary’s Chapel (Marienkapelle) above the village is very beautiful.

The town of Bruneck is approx. 2 km from St. Georgen and can be easily reached by city bus or via cycle paths and footpaths. The town offers a wide range of cultural activities. Numerous shopping opportunities, cozy cafés, restaurants and interesting sights (such as the old town, Bruneck Castle with the Reinhold Messner Mountain Museum RIPA, the city gates, Ursuline Church, etc.) are there for you.
